How to play Stock Market Trader
- Press BUY to buy shares and SELL to sell them. Choose 25%, 50% or MAX of your cash.
- Switch between stocks with the arrow keys or by tapping the ticker tabs.
- Read the news ticker. Good news usually lifts a price, but check whether it is a rumour.
- Use the three one-time boosters per level (freeze, insider tip and diamond hands) when you need them, and cash out early once you have reached a star.
About the game
Stock Market Trader is a timed trading game played on a live candlestick chart. Each of the 15 levels gives you a starting balance, a handful of fictional stocks and a clock, and asks you to hit a net-worth target for one, two or three stars.
News drives the market. A headline appears first and the price reacts a few seconds later, but some rumours are fake, so you have to judge which stories to trust. Nothing here uses real companies or real money.
Tips
- Every trade has a small fee, so avoid buying and selling constantly.
- Selling at a profit builds a streak bonus.
- If your net worth falls below 40% of your starting cash you get a margin call and the level ends.
